A Semipalmated Plover, Charadius semipalmatus, is leaving the rockpile still used by several Semipalmated Sandpiers, Calidris pusilla. Both these shorebirds are common migrants along the East coast in fall and spring. This group is on the mudflats at Heislersville, New Jersey, where thousands of shorebirds gather in late May and early June.
